Description

Join a highly specialized multidisciplinary team at Sutter Sacramento, focused on the cutting-edge of memory and cognitive disorder care. This is an outpatient-only opportunity designed for a physician who wants to focus on complex diagnostics and the latest Alzheimer's disease-modifying treatments.

The Practice Setting

• Specialized Focus: Evaluation and management of dementia, MCI, and neurocognitive disorders.
• Cutting-Edge Support: Direct access to the Advanced Therapeutics for Alzheimer's Disease (ATAD) Review Board for support in ordering and monitoring anti-amyloid medications (e.g., lecanemab).
• Deep Clinical Team: You are supported by 3 Neuropsychologists, 3 LVNs (who assist with cognitive testing), a dedicated Memory RN, and LCSWs.
• Predictable Flow: Approximately 4-5 new evaluations per week and 4-5 follow-ups per day.

Schedule & Compensation

• Work-Life Balance: Monday-Friday, 8 am-5 pm; No nights, no weekends, and no call.
• Hours: 36 clinical hours per week.
• Technology: Fully integrated EPIC EMR.

Requirements

• Board Certification: BC/BE in Neurology (Behavioral/Cognitive focus) or Geriatric Psychiatry.
• Clinical Expertise: Must have recent experience in a memory clinic or cognitive disorders setting.
• Modern Therapeutics: Experience with (or deep clinical interest in) anti-amyloid therapy and multidisciplinary care coordination.
• License: An active California medical license is required (facility is unable to wait for licensure).
