What You Will Do
- Provide direct support for computer-based solutions that address customer service and technical needs within the Simulation Learning Center for Health Sciences (SLCHS).
- Procure , install, configure, and maintain simulation hardware and software to ensure reliable and effective operation.
- Provide hardware and software training and network support to users of the simulation systems.
- Support the smooth operation, timely maintenance, and ongoing functionality of healthcare simulation technologies.
- Setup and configure hardware, operating systems, vendor supplied software applications and related peripheral devices.
- Participate in simulation hardware maintenance and repair operations. Help develop accurate, reliable solutions to problems that may arise.

Minimum Acceptable Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Any one or any combination totaling one (1) year (12 months) from the following categories:
- College coursework which includes Information Technology (IT), IT Management, Programming, IT systems, or a closely related discipline, as measured by the following conversion table or its proportional equivalent:
- 30 semester hours equals one (1) year (12 months)
- Associate's Degree (60 semester hours) equals eighteen months (18 months)
- 90 semester hours equals two (2) years (24 months)
- Bachelor's Degree (120 semester hours) equals three (3) years (36 months)
- Work experience in IT-related functions such as hardware/software support, programming, network design, network engineering, IT systems integration, or closely related field.
- College coursework which includes Information Technology (IT), IT Management, Programming, IT systems, or a closely related discipline, as measured by the following conversion table or its proportional equivalent:
- Based on position requirements, additional education, training, and/or work experience in the area of specialization inherent to the position may be required.
AND
- Experience installing, upgrading, and troubleshooting computer hardware and software;
- Experience demonstrable knowledge of scripting languages OR programming, and programming theory and practice;
- Experience troubleshooting computer networking technology, servers, services, and related protocols;
- Experience installing, maintaining, administering, and trouble shooting multiple operating system platforms;
Preferred Qualifications
- Basic understanding of health terminology preferred but not required.
- Experience with health care simulations preferred but not required.
