Job Title: Utilization Review Registered Nurse (RN)
Location: Arcata, California
Contract Length: 13 Weeks
Start Date: February 13, 2026
Schedule: Five 8-hour shifts per week (8:00 AM – 4:30 PM)
Guaranteed Hours: 40 hours/week

 
Key Responsibilities
Perform utilization review and case management functions
Assess medical necessity and appropriateness of care
Collaborate with physicians, case managers, and insurance providers
Ensure compliance with facility policies and healthcare regulations
Document reviews accurately using EMR systems

Trauma Level: N/A

Requirements

Active California RN License (must be current)
Minimum 3 years of Utilization Management experience
BLS & ACLS certifications required
Proof of negative TB screening within the last 12 months
Experience with CPSI/Evident EMR preferred
