Job DescriptionDuties and Responsibilities:
Ensure that employees receive timely and professional nursing service and first aid especially in the event of workplace injuries.
Prescribe medical treatment and personal health care services to those who seek medication or consultation.
Take vital signs, treat wounds, evaluate physical condition of the employee, and contact the appropriate physician and hospital to arrange for further medical treatment when necessary.
Work to prevent, investigate and treat workplace-related illnesses and injuries.
Monitor and control dispensing of medicine supplies to employees.
Maintain an adequate inventory of appropriate medical supplies and all operational clinic equipment and take necessary actions for replenishments.
Assist employees in availing medical services through HMO accredited diagnostic clinics, hospitals and dental clinics.
Maintain records of employees being treated and monitor the results of treatment for reference purposes.
Coordinate with company-accredited diagnostic clinic in scheduling and monitoring pre-employment medical exams of new hires.
Administer statutory and in-house benefits to qualified employees in line with company standards and policies.
Handle health maintenance services, ECC benefits and preparation of Annual Medical reports.
Handle processing of all SSS benefits that include preparation of Maternity, Sickness or Accident notification and file to corresponding SSS office.
Confer and consult with immediate head any matters concerning the proper interpretation and treatment of company benefits such as SSS, ECC, Philhealth and HDMF benefits.
Validate sick leave application based on individual attendance record. Report to immediate head any discrepancies found in the leave application.
Conduct an annual audit of actual Sick Leave (SL) application against posted SL in the individual attendance record and make adjustment whenever necessary.
Assist in facilitating Company's Annual Physical Examination.
Conduct necessary investigation and prepare accident reports for workplace injuries and other accidents experienced by employees happening outside the company to validate insurance claims.
Monitor and update health records of all employees.
Coordinate with HR for the implementation of company benefits-related concerns.
Conduct house and hospital visits when required.
In charge of the inspection of company facilities and make recommendations concerning operational areas that may be potential hazards to health and safety.
Perform periodic health inspections of food preparation and eating area and make recommendations concerning hygienic practices.
Maintain awareness of the latest industrial safety and medical practices and evaluate these practices if applicable to the company and make recommendations for its implementation.
Assist in the planning, implementation and evaluation of the health program for employees to promote wellness and protect the health of the employees which greatly includes safety programs.
Assist the Emergency and Response Team (ERT) in all phases of company safety program. Develop employee programs, such as health education, accident prevention, alcohol abuse counseling, curtailment of smoking, weight control regimens and the like.
Establish linkages with hospitals, diagnostic laboratories and other health care providers and professionals.
Maintain and update clinic bulletin board/health corner regularly.
Perform other job or expertise-related assignments in order to promote professional development resulting to support company's operational efficiency
