Description
Charter House is seeking an experienced Director of Nursing to lead nursing services across our Assisted Living and Skilled Nursing communities. This senior leadership role provides oversight of clinical practice, staffing, and operations while ensuring exceptional, residentcentered care aligned with Charter House and Mayo Clinic values.
The Director of Nursing leads nursing operations, drives evidencebased practice, and partners with interdisciplinary leaders to deliver highquality outcomes. Responsibilities include workforce planning, policy and program oversight, budgeting, recruitment and retention, quality improvement, and regulatory compliance. This role works closely with residents, families, and staff, serves on and leads key committees, and ensures compliance with professional nursing standards and the Minnesota Nurse Practice Act.

Requirements
To be considered for this position you must meet one of the following education and experience qualifications below.
- Bachelor’s degree in Nursing (BSN) with five years in nursing service administration with line management responsibilities.
- Bachelor's degree in Nursing (BSN) with a Master's degree in Nursing, business or a health-related field, and three years in nursing service administration with line management responsibilities.
Licensure
RN licensure with the Minnesota Board of Nursing is required.
Additional Qualifications
- Experience in senior care, including assisted living and/or skilled nursing is preferred
- Gerontological Certification, preferred
- Proven success leading teams through change in highacuity or unpredictable environments
- Demonstrated ability to lead independently, manage complexity, and make sound decisions in a dynamic, 24/7 care environment
- Strong communication, interpersonal, and problemsolving skills, with the ability to prioritize and respond effectively to resident and employee needs
- Flexibility to support a 24/7 operation, including oncall responsibilities
