Oxford Health Group Supports Assisted Living, Home Health and Hospice companies
throughout California and Colorado. We need a strategic partner with extensive employment
law, leave of absence and interactive discussion knowledge and experience, to protect the
company, support leadership and front line employees, and drive long-term success programs.
Strengthen Workplace Culture
o Acts as a bridge between employees and leadership, ensuring concerns are heard and
addressed promptly, properly and in writing.
o Trains on, and demonstrates, skills to build employee trust, engagement, and retention
by promoting a fair and respectful environment.
o Manages Company Compliance Hotline and Employee Satisfaction Surveys
Reduces Risk and Improves Compliance
o Oversees adherence to federal, state, and local labor laws, minimizing legal exposure.
o Manages sensitive issues like grievances, investigations, and disciplinary actions with
consistency and fairness.
o Handles company wide Leaves of Absence
Improves Organizational Performance
o Resolves conflicts before they escalate, reducing turnover and lawsuits.
o Aligns employee relations strategies with company goals, boosting morale and
productivity.
o Continuous training of supervisory employees on leadership skill sets
Supports Change & Growth
o Guides managers through organizational and/or culture changes, assisting with
acquisitions/mergers, and/or restructuring (layoffs, etc.)
o Helps maintain stability during periods of growth or transformation.
This leader will collaborate with all HR and other department leaders (Payroll, Accounting,
WC/Risk/Safety, Operations, Culinary, Clinical, etc.), and manage “Regional HR Generalist(s)”
(approx. 1 per10-12 communities) leading by example in implementing policies, HR trainings, meal
and rest breaks, scheduling, overtime, performance management, and all other aspects of
Human Resources Management.
Bottom line Purpose of Position: Improving culture, preventing lawsuits, preventing
productivity dips, addressing staffing issues, reducing employee complaints, and continually
striving to create “issue free” communities/facilities for the company!
Requirements
Bachelors Degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, Organizational development or related field
Minimum 5 years of successful experience as an Employee Relations Specialist and Supervisor/Manager
Outstanding communication skills - writing legally defensible investigation reports, earning employee trust through communication
Valid driver’s license and private vehicle for business use
Experience in healthcare and/or senior living preferred (must maintain TB, COVID and other health related status/vaccinations, etc. as required by the industry
Experience managing multiple personality types and multidisciplinary teams
Computer experience (Microsoft office) and ability to use basic office equipment
Knowledge of all state employment laws and regulations governing assisted living/ senior care and healthcare!
