About the Opportunity
In this senior leadership position, you will provide direction and oversight for nursing services and other assigned clinical departments. You will work closely with executive leadership, physicians, department directors, and multidisciplinary teams to ensure high-quality patient care while maintaining strong operational, financial, regulatory, and customer-service performance.
Key Responsibilities
* Provide strategic and operational leadership for nursing services and assigned departments.
* Lead nursing staffing, recruitment, retention, professional development, and workforce planning.
* Promote advanced nursing practice, career development, education, and leadership growth.
* Establish and implement nursing goals, standards, policies, and procedures.
* Ensure nursing practices meet applicable clinical, regulatory, licensing, and industry standards.
* Partner with physicians and other clinical leaders to promote collaborative, multidisciplinary care.
* Drive initiatives that improve patient outcomes, patient satisfaction, quality, safety, and overall care delivery.
* Develop and manage operating budgets while monitoring financial performance.
* Collaborate with service-line leaders to ensure effective delivery of multidisciplinary patient services.
* Support nursing education, staff training, standards of care, and clinical policies.
* Participate in strategic planning and senior leadership initiatives.
* Serve on administrative, quality, and organizational committees as appropriate.
* Identify opportunities to improve organizational effectiveness, productivity, quality, and issue resolution.
* Support system-wide quality improvement and operational initiatives.
* Promote a culture of ethical conduct, accountability, compliance, and professionalism.
* Monitor compliance with applicable laws, regulations, accreditation standards, and organizational policies.
* Support internal and external audit recommendations and continuous improvement initiatives.
* Help ensure organizational objectives related to supplier diversity and responsible business practices are achieved.

Requirements
Required Qualifications
Master's degree required** in Nursing, Business, Healthcare Administration, or a related field.
- If holding two degrees, **one must be in Nursing**.
* Current **Registered Nurse (RN) license in the State of Michigan**.
* Minimum **5 years of combined clinical and/or progressively responsible healthcare management experience**.
* Strong leadership and people-management experience.
* Demonstrated ability to manage nursing operations, staffing, quality, and financial responsibilities.
Preferred
* Current certification in a relevant nursing specialty.
* Experience leading nursing services within a hospital or complex healthcare environment.
* Experience with quality improvement, regulatory compliance, strategic planning, and multidisciplinary healthcare operations.
