As a Telephone Triage RN, you’ll use clinical expertise and technology to guide patients across the lifespan & determine the best way to address their medical issues and concerns over the phone:
You will:Assess symptoms using physician-developed clinical algorithms
Deliver & document health education to assist patients in managing their symptoms when indicated
Assist in getting patients to the appropriate level of care (e.g. home care, an office visit, emergency room)
Consult with physicians as needed
*Weekends and holidays are required
Requirements
- Current multi-state RN license with no restrictions; nurses currently holding a single-state RN license must obtain a multi-state license prior to being made a job offer
2+ years of RN experience - Proficiency using computers and type a minimum of 25 wpm
- Excellent listening and comprehension skills to determine key information by patient
- Remote Workstation / HIPAA Requirements (Workstation must be in a room where door can be locked)
- Must have a high-speed internet connection
- Desk should be large enough to hold 2 monitors, computer, accessories + hands-free headset
- Ability to handle confidential information; HIPAA compliance is mandatory
Remote Training Schedules
Format: Virtual (Zoom)
Duration: 3 weeks
Attendance: 100% attendance required
OPTION 1
Week 1: November 2nd – November 6th M-F Live Zoom 10:00 am-2:00 pm EST then 4hrs/day of Self-Study
Week 2: November 9th – November 13th M-F Live Zoom 10:00 am-2:00 pm EST then 4hrs/day of Self-Study
Week 3: November 16th – November 20th M-F Shift days/times with a preceptor will be discussed with education manager.
OPTION 2
Week 1: November 30th– December 4th M-F Live Zoom 10:00 am-2:00 pm EST then 4hrs/day of Self-Study
Week 2: December 7th – December 11th M-F Live Zoom 10:00 am-2:00 pm EST then 4hrs/day of Self-Study
Week 3: December 14th – December 18th M-F Shift days/times with a preceptor will be discussed with education manager.
