Baylor Scott & White Health is seeking a Full‑Time Registered Nurse (RN) to join our Float Pool Team on night shift at Baylor Scott & White Medical Center - Waxahachie. This role is ideal for adaptable, experienced nurses who thrive in fast‑paced environments and enjoy caring for a diverse patient population.

Schedule

Full Time - 36 hours per week

Nights: 6:45 PM - 7:15 AM

No call required

About the Role

As a Float Pool RN, you will provide high‑quality patient care across multiple inpatient units within your clinical skill set. You'll support areas throughout the hospital, gaining broad clinical exposure while helping meet critical staffing needs.

Key Responsibilities

Deliver safe, compassionate, and evidence‑based nursing care

Adapt quickly to various units based on staffing and patient needs

Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to ensure optimal patient outcomes

Maintain accurate documentation and compliance with hospital policies

Required Qualifications

Active Texas RN license

Minimum 1 year of RN experience

Telemetry experience

Preferred Qualifications

Critical Care experience

Specialty or Board Certification

Strong adaptability and clinical confidence

Job Summary As an RN Float, you are vital in healthcare, coordinating patient care based on our nursing model. You assess patients, plan personalized care, and evaluate responses to health issues. You keep patients safe by understanding their needs and the healthcare setting for smoother transitions. You delegate interventions to team members based on guidelines, patient condition, and team abilities. Your professionalism and experience help you make important recommendations that impact patient outcomes.

Qualifications

• You should have graduated from an accredited program in nursing or have two years of relevant work experience.

• The main area of study in your education should be nursing.

• (2) Two years of experience in nursing is required.

• You need to be a registered nurse

• Have basic life support (BLS) certification or get it within 30 days of starting.
