The Associate Dean serves as the chief representative of the school, the leader of the school in its internal affairs, and the liaison between the school faculty and the university administration. The Associate Dean is the administrative and instructional leader of the school. The duties of the Associate Dean involve collaboration and interaction with faculty, staff, students, and other administrators.
Requirements
A doctorate degree in nursing or a related field. An active, unencumbered North Carolina RN license. A record of excellence in teaching, research, and service commensurate with the rank of a tenured Associate Professor/Professor. At least two years of full-time faculty experience in a Board-approved nursing program. Demonstrated academic or nursing leadership skills.
